The Bates County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division provides 24 hour services to the residents of the county. The county is approximately 849 square miles and is the sixth largest county in the state of Missouri.

The Patrol Division consist of:

Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team

One of the Patrol Division's duties is to enforce court orders, such as child custody, judgment collections, order of protection and other issues. They also respond to call for service involving emergencies, domestic disputes, disturbances, crimes in progress, first responder's calls, traffic accidents, traffic control, etc. They are also responsible for serving warrants on people within the county.
